The Brigade was formed in 1 April 1908 and ceased to exist as a standalone Howitzer Brigade on Christmas Day 1916 (when the two Batteries were split amongst Field Gun Batteries to create combined Field Gun/Howitzer Batteries)..
There is no published Brigade history, so over time, I plan to tell the story of the Brigade using whatever sources that I am able to find. Thus far, I’ve completed first drafts of:
- 1908 – The formation of the Brigade.
- 1914 – Pre-war balls and Mobilization
- 1915 – Training and December on the Somme
