Its taken some time (and quite a bit of head scratching), but I’m pleased to say that the new Nominal Roll is now up and running.
The roll can be accessed from the main menu by clicking on ‘The Men’, then its the first choice.
The first page for the new roll contains the name of all of the 912 men identified to date and some basic information. The roll is searchable (top right corner).
It is also possible to filter by the 4 main groups of soldiers who enlisted in the Brigade
- Initial recruits at the time of formation (mostly transfers from the old Glamorgan Volunteer RGA).
- Pre-war territorials.
- The first wave of wartime recruits – 1914.
- The second wave – 1915
Once you find the soldier you are interested in, if you click on the name it takes you to a more detailed Personal Profile page
I have completed the page for Corporal Jenkins as I trial, but the the majority of these pages currently only contain basic information, but I will add more over time.
Where I have lots of pictures relating to a soldier, I also have added an image library which can be accessed via the hyperlink at the bottom right of the profile picture.
