SKETTY WEDDING

The wedding was solemnised at St Pauls Church, Sketty, by the Rev HJ Stewart, BA (vicar) on Wednesday morning of Captain Herbert V Rowlands, MC (late RFA), of Kew Gardens, London, son of Mr JP Rowlands, the well-known Swansea architect, and Miss Doris Jenkins, the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs WO Jenkins, of Bay View, Sketty-avenue. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a costume of beaver coloured velour, trimmed with fur, wore a marocain hat to match, and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Captain Harry Edwards (late 6th Welsh Regt) was best man. The honeymoon is being spent in Bournemouth.
