SWANSEA COUNCILLOR BEREAVED. Death of Mr Dan Jones' Son.

Councillor Dan Jones and Mrs Jones have sustained a sad bereavement by the death of their son, Daniel Sydney Jones, marine engineer. The deceased, who was 29 years of age was in the Prince Line, and he passed away, it is believed, from an attack of fever at Freemantle, Australia.

The news was received by cable by Messrs Holder Company's agents at Swansea, and came as a great shock to the family, as the deceased was the only son. A Grammar School boy, he was a sergeant in the Howitzers at Swansea when the war broke out, and he joined up in 1914, going to France and then to Egypt. On leaving Egypt, he joined the Prince Line, and had been with them ever since. Much sympathy will be felt with Counc and Mrs Jones.
