From S Sgt J Nicholson, 1/1st Glam Battery Howitzer Brigade, Mediterranean Expeditionary Force.

I have just received card, and, as you may know the reason, we have gone East; hence our letters late. I have only just recieved letters dated 31-1-16. the only difference in my address is MEF, otherwise just the same. I am glad to say I feel quite well up to time of writing, and the weather is a little hot.

Now I don't think I need bother you about any news of the war as we only practically know what is going on around us, and we have to be very careful what we say. As regards the boys at home, well, all I can say is "Good health" and "Good luck" to them all, and hope they are all doing their bit towards finishing this war, and the sooner its over the better.
