17th and 47th Div carried out minor operations at 6AM which was not very successful. Batteries cooperated and fired on area generally. Enemy 4.2 Hows were active during early morning in retaliation, evidentally much annoyed by our TANKS who retired through Battery position. Lieut. FOX of 17th Battery and 2nd Lieut. G PREEY of 9th Battery were killed.
