He saw service at the Somme and was responsible for looking after the horses. she told me that his 3 brothers also saw service at the Somme and all returned. They were William, bptzd 3/7/1892, Philip Llewelyn b 20/9/1897 (d15/9/1963) and Ernest Gilbert b 28/12/1901.
