Fred Jowett was a Welsh rugby union player who represented Wales and the British Lions. Jowett played club rugby for Swansea, and county rugby for Glamorgan. At Swansea, he set the club scoring record with 42 tries in the 1902-03 season, earning his first and only cap on 10 January 1903 at St Helens Ground in Swansea against England winning 21–5. The next year Jowett was selected for the British Lions tour of Australia and New Zealand, and was selected for one test. He later turned professional and scored on his debut for Hull Kingston Rovers in Sept 1905.
