Mr William Cox, of West-lea, Tyoch, Swansea, formerly of Swansea Borough Police Force, passed away yesterday at the age of 38. Prior to joining the force in September 1913, Mr Cox had been employed under the Swansea Harbour Trust. He was extremely popular, and had the distinction of being the tallest member of the force, standing 6ft 3in. While with the Swansea Police Mr Cox was a member of the Police Rugby team, and was also the goalkeeper in the Police water polo team.- Herald of Wales, 25 Nov 1931 (FMP)
