The funeral of the late Mrs Jessie Gibbs of "The Gables", Mayhill, wife of Mr TJR Gibbs, builder, formerly superintendent of works and buildings at the Swansea Corporation architects department too place on Thursday at Sketty..... Widespread sympathy is expressed for Mr Gibbs in his sudden bereavement, especially as his recently married only daughter leaves at once for Mexico.

Among the bearers were two old comrades of Mr Gibbs - QMS J Edwards and Sergt W Chamberlain of the 1st Welsh Howitzer Brigade."
