VETERAN MORRISTON MUSICIAN'S DEATH: By the death of Mr Willie Isaac, at Clyndu-street, Morriston, last night, Swansea has lost a very well known and accomplished trombone player, who served in a great number of local orchestras and bands.Mr Isaac, who was 59, and conductor of the Llansamlet prize band since 1925, was a member of the well-known Hanney's band during the whole of its existence. Other organisations in which he played were Hulley's band, the old Star, Grand Theatre and Empire orchestras and Willy Roberts, Morgan Lloyd and Tabernacle (Morriston) orchestra and latterly the Swansea Festival Orchestra. He served abroad during the war in the Welsh Howitzer Brigade, who headquarters were at Swansea Drill Hall. A widow, three daughters and a son survive him.

W Isaac was charged, under Army Regulations, with neglecting to attend the annual training this year. Defendant said he had been in the First Glamorgan Battery RFA, for 17 years, and he had to fulfil an engagement at Ilfracombe with the town band.
